Nickie Williams, Director

.: About Nickie :.

Nickie Williams was born in Austin, Texas and has lived in the area all of her life. She was raised in church, but never really knew God. In September of 1993, she re-dedicated her life to the Lord and began attending church at Liberty Chapel in Liberty Hill. While there, she served on the Worship Team, was a Youth Sponsor, and volunteered in Children's Church. Occasionally, she and her family lead praise and worship for local churches, ministries, and conferences. In 1997, she attended Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University) and received a Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. For seven years, she worked as a Special Education Teacher for the Round Rock Independent School District. Presently, she serves as the Children's Director here at LifeSprings.

In 2000, Nickie married her husband, Jeff, and they are the proud parents of two beautiful girls, Amber LeeAnne Irene, and Ashton Faye. Nickie says that her greatest ministry is being a good wife and mother.

Nickie believes that from birth, she was called to work with children. However, after the birth of her second child, Nickie had a deep desire to stay at home with her children. Although it took an extraordinary amount of faith to quit her job, she and her husband, Jeff, started their own home childcare business called, The Ark Home Childcare.

Nickie says that she is extremely excited about the changes made to the P.I.T. Crew program and can not wait to see what the Lord has in store for the coming years.

.: About the P.I.T. Crew :.

The P.I.T. Crew's mission is to provide a safe, fun, loving environment that equips and empowers children with the Word of God.

The goal of the P.I.T. Crew Ministry is as follows:

  • Provide age-appropriate activities that enhance each child's understanding of the Word and of God.
  • Teach the same principle in all classes so that parents are able to have family discussions and reinforce each lesson. Each Sunday, children receive a lesson and color sheet for the week. The lesson is taken home, so that parents can see the principle that was taught. This sheet can be used as an aid in family discussions.
  • Empower children by having them learn scripture to use and share throughout their life. The children learn a new principle and scripture every Sunday.
  • Teach children that worship and prayer are essentials in their daily walk with God. A schedule is prepared for each class which emphasizes the importance of worship and prayer. Children are taught to pray for others' needs and over their snacks.
  • Teach children the importance of tithing and giving. Every Sunday, children are given the opportunity to tithe. They will also be asked to give to certain charities throughout the year.
  • Create and environment where children and parents feel safe. Procedures are in place to limit the number of people coming in and out of the classrooms. A procedure handbook is available so that everyone is made aware of the safety requirements for each classroom.
  • Assist children in creating life-long, positive influences. Children are provided time to socialize during the service. This helps them build healthy, Christian friendships.
