Tim Smith

Elder Tim Smith grew up in Dallas, TX and gave his heart to the Lord at the age of 12. During his young life, Elder Tim had a great church experience with lots of bible study and youth group. After graduating from St. Mark's School, he then attended Rice University in Houston, TX. While pursuing his undergraduate degree at Rice University, Elder Tim also pursued a life without God. After a year of anguish, he cried out to God and through several miraculous events, he turned his life around and completely surrendered to the Lord.

With God in control of his life, Elder Tim became involved in campus ministry and became President of the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at Rice University. After graduating from Rice in 1991, he moved back to Dallas where he met and married the woman of his dreams, his wife, Laura. In 1998, he and his wife moved to Austin and made LifeSprings Christian Church their spiritual home. Elder Tim and Laura have three wonderful children, Johnathan, Abigail, and Charles.

Besides being the Minister of Finance for LifeSprings, Elder Tim is a Licensed Professional Engineer and is the Principal owner of a local commercial construction management company, Seven Star Consolidated.

Elder Tim believes that his primary ministry focus is to serve the Lord in the marketplace. According to him, the "LifeSprings Experience" has completely changed and matured his walk with God like nothing else has. While working with Pastor Ron for the past eight years, Elder Tim feels that he has been better trained and equipped to bring the Kingdom of God to his community than in all of his 26 years as a Christian. He is excited about what the Lord is doing in him and the members at LifeSprings.
